Intuitive touch screen interface
The innovative touch screen interface provides fast and smooth operation for setting and editing various functions and memories.
One touch selection
For example, if you want to change the operating band, press the frequency on the screen. Band keys will appear to select the operating band.
Touching the multi-function meter indicator for 1 second will change the broadcast meter functions quickly.
Software keyboard
Entering a frequency, token or editing memory channels has never been so easy.
The software keyboard on the touch screen allows you to enter alphanumeric characters incredibly quickly.
Touch screen control portal

HF/50/70/144/430 MHz Multi-band, Multi-mode
The IC-7100 fully covers the amateur HF, 50, 70, 144, 430 MHz bands in multiple modes, providing 100 W on HF/50 MHz bands, 50 W on 70/144 MHz bands and 35 W on 430 MHz.
Digital Functions Controlled by IF DSP
A high-performance 32-bit IF DSP provides rich digital signal processing capabilities, such as digital IF filter, digital dual PBT, noise reduction, automatic CW tuning, etc.
These digital capabilities work in all bands from the HF bands to the V/UHF bands.
DSP Controlled AGC Function Loop
Digital signal processing is built into the AGC operating loop.
The results of the signal processing provide feedback to the AGC function.
The AGC function operates on the intended signal and produces stable audio output.
AGC time constants are flexibly set from slow, medium, fast (or AGC off) for each mode.
D-STAR DV Mode (Digital Voice + Data)
The IC-7100 provides digital voice in D-STAR DV mode and low-speed data communication.
DR (D-STAR Repeater) function.
DR mode makes D-STAR operation simple, even if you are new to D-STAR mode.
Near Repeater function
With an external, third-party GPS*, search the internal database based on your location. * External GPS receiver or manual data entry required.
SD memory card slot for data storage
When used with an SD card, the SD card can store various contents, such as voice memory, memory channels, D-STAR repeater memories and other personal settings can be stored on the SD card and loaded into the transceiver.
Easy vehicle mounting with optional MBF-1
The combination of the optional MBF-1 suction cup mount and MBA-1 controller arm provides easy tilt and swivel adjustments for portable operation. The large suction cup can be placed on a dashboard or other flat surfaces and can be easily removed.
Optional RS-BA1 IP remote control software
The optional RS-BA1 software allows you to operate the IC-7100 from a remote computer via the Internet or a local home network.
Built-in RTTY decoder
The built-in RTTY decoder allows you to instantly read an RTTY message on the screen.
No external TNC or PC required for reading.
The eight RTTY memories can store and transmit frequently used RTTY sentences.
RTTY memory is 70 characters per memory channel.
RS-MS1A, Free Android™ App Download
The RS-MS1A allows you to connect your Android™ device to the IC-7100*. Text messages and photos can be sent and received with your Android™ device via the D-STAR DV function.
* The optional OPC-2350LU data cable is required to connect to an Android™ device.
