Intuitive touch screen operation
Intuitive touch screen interface provides fast and smooth operation.
The large 5.5 inch screen (320×128 pixels) responds naturally to touch allowing you to change settings, enter frequencies, edit memory channels with ease.
DV/DVDualwatch
The ID-5100E can receive FM/FM and FM/DV signals simultaneously.
Two DV signals can be monitored for capture on each channel.
You can check other repeaters or other channel activities while waiting for the main repeater.
* Main zone audio takes priority if two DV signals are input at the same time.
GPS functions
An internal GPS receiver in the controller shows its own position, course, speed and altitude on the screen.
GPS location information can be used to exchange location reports, locate the GPS log, and search for nearby repeater locations.
DV/FM repeater list function
The DV/FM repeater list feature helps you access nearby repeaters, even when visiting an area for the first time.
The function searches for a nearby repeater using the repeater’s memories and GPS location information.
* To use the auto repeater list function, the repeater location data is required. The ID-5100E will ship with a limited number of pre-programmed repeater memories
Dplus Reflector Linking
Dplus reflector connection commands are added to the DR mode for easy operation of the reflector.
SD card slot for voice and data storage
When used with an SD card, the SD card can store various contents such as voice memory, DV auto answer message, TX voice message, QSO log, RX history log and GPS log data.
Memory channels, repeater memories and other personal settings can be saved to the SD card and loaded into the transceiver.
VS-3 Bluetooth® Headphones
The optional VS-3 Bluetooth® headset provides hands-free communication and can remotely control the ID-5100E with three programmable buttons.
* The optional UT-133/A Bluetooth® unit must be installed on the ID-5100E.
RS-MS1A Android™ App (Free App Download from Google Play™)
The RS-MS1A allows you to wirelessly connect the ID-5100E and remotely set the DR functions, connect to a map application and send/receive messages via the DV function.
In addition, photos taken from the Android™ device can be streamed in DV Fast Data mode or DV mode.
* Either optional Bluetooth® module UT-133/A or OPC-2350LU data cable is required.
* Some features may not work properly depending on the Android™ phones and devices used.
DV Fast DataMode*
Using data in place of voice frames, the ID-5100E can transfer data 3.5 times faster (3480 bps) than in conventional DV mode (with voice).
* The DV Fast Data mode is not compatible with the DV mode low-speed data communication.
Optional Active Noise Canceling Microphone
The optional active noise-canceling microphone HM-209 can automatically reduce noise in extremely noisy environments and help transmit clear and accurate sound.
